MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Belarusian truck racer Sergei Vyazovich finished the tenth leg of the 2017 Dakar Rally just one spot off the podium. Alexander Vasilevsky came in 6th. The information is posted on the official website of the rally.
Sergei Vyazovich completed the 449km timed section in 5h45m57s losing 12m51s to the stage winner Russia’s Kamaz driver Eduard Nikolaev. Sergei Vyazovich’s crew includes navigator Pavel Garanin and mechanic Andrei Zhigulin.
Two stages separate the racers from the final finish line. The rally raid will wrap up in Buenos Aires on 14 January. Alexander Vasilevsky currently sits in 7th overall, the highest among the Belarusian racers.
