MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - The international Issyk-Kul marathon Run the Silk Road under the auspices of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has completed in Kyrgyzstan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.
About 3,000 athletes from 20 countries, including representatives of the Belarusian national athletics team, took part in the competition on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. The event included a marathon (42.195km), a half-marathon (21.97km), and also 10km and 3km races.
Sergei Kravchenya of Belarus won the men's 10 km distance. Belarus’ Sergei Platonov claimed bronze in the half marathon. Olga Nemogai of Belarus finished fourth in the women's half marathon.
