MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Yekaterina Rudakova of Belarus won the 3rd Ugra Ski Marathon that took place in Khanty-Mansiysk. Belarus’ Alexei Ivanov claimed silver in the men’s event, BelTA has learned.
Partaking in the competitions were over 2,000 professional athletes, students of sports schools, sport veterans and enthusiasts. The organizers of the competitions reduced the track to 30km due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Yekaterina Rudakova covered the distance in 1:19.46 to top the podium. Second was France’s Aurelie Dabudyk, less than one minute back. Bronze went to Antonella Konfortola of Italy.
Toni Livers of Switzerland collected gold in the men’s 30km event in 1:13.39. Alexei Ivanov of Belarus was 0.4 seconds behind. Third came in Russia’s Yevgeny Belov.
Belarusian skiers Yekaterina Rudakova and Alexei Ivanov won the Ugra Ski Marathon in 2014.
