MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel of the Polymya magazine which celebrates its 95th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Over the years of existence the newspaper has been reflecting the historical path of the Belarusian nation, demonstrated its strong commitment to high moral, ideological and esthetic values,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that the works of such Belarusian classics as Yakub Kolas, Yanka Kupala, Ivan Melezh, Maksim Tank, Kondrat Krapiva, Petrus Brovka, Ivan Shamyakin, Vladimir Korotkevich were published by Polymya.
“Today the magazine also publishes the works of renowned Belarusian authors and young writers, Belarusian translations of famous literary works,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
