MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Premier League championship of 2019 was most-attended in the past nine years, Chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation Vladimir Bazanov said at a conference of the federation in Minsk on 12 March, BelTA has learned.
The average attendance of the country’s premier league championship matches amounted to 2,500 people in 2019, up by 21% over 2018, Vladimir Bazanov noted.
The Belarusian Football Federation and the football clubs intend to continue working with fans in order to attract more of them to the stadiums, Vladimir Bazanov said.
The 30th Belarus’ Premier League championship will start on 19 March and will last till early December. A total of 16 teams will perform in the Premier League championship.
