MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich will travel to France on November 10-12 on a working visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
On 11 November Mikhail Myasnikovich will take part in the main events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War: a memorial ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe war monument and the Paris Forum of Peace. Attending the event will be heads of state, governments, parliaments, international organizations and representatives of civil society. The forum is designed to strengthen peace through more effective global regulation and reduce international tensions.
During the visit, Mikhail Myasnikovich is expected to meet with President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher.
Mikhail Myasnikovich will also meet with representatives of the Belarusian Diaspora in France.
