MOSCOW, 16 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ Nina Sinyakova has been announced winner in the Symphony Music nomination at the Andrey Petrov All-Russian Composers Competition that concluded in Saint Petersburg on 15 October, BelTA learned from the organizing committee.
She scored the highest for her Concerto for Two Violins with Orchestra. She also won People’s Choice Award.
Nina Sinyakova graduated from Minsk Music School. After that she studied at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory and the Cologne University of Music.
The All-Russian Composers Competition was named after People’s Artist of the USSR Andrey Petrov. It is held alternately in one of two nominations: Symphony Music and Pop Music and Romantic Song. The winner gets prize money of RUB250,000.
This year the jury was led by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Franghiz Ali-Zadeh.
