MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – The National Library of Belarus will cooperate with the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. The two institutions signed a memorandum of cooperation, BelTA learned from the National Library of Belarus.
The document creates conditions for cooperation in science and culture, distribution and exchange of information resources.
The first event to implement the memorandum of cooperation was the celebration of 500 years of the Belarusian book printing at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky presented the international scientific and publishing project on the recreation of Francysk Skaryna’s Book Heritage and donated a many-volume facsimile of the Belarusian first book printer’s works. The director talked about major stages of the project and the cooperation with the Bank BelVEB in its implementation.
Roman Motulsky also made a presentation about the National Library of Belarus, including its history, unusual architecture, information resources, valuable collections and the potential of the institution as the country’s biggest social, cultural and information center.
