MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – A visual art festival, Art Is, will take place in the National Art Museum on 1 February, BelTA learned from the museum.
The festival is a kind of experiment, an attempt to capture the current state of Belarusian art not only in the form of a traditional exposition. The project aims to demonstrate the process of creating an object of art. Artists will not only show their works in the National Art Museum, but will also take the audience behind the scenes of the very creative process. “Visitors will have an opportunity to talk to artists, learn about their techniques and see various stages of the creative process,” the museum said.
There will be master classes in graphics, painting, sculpture, mosaic, working with gesso, alternative photography, as well as open classes in drawing, painting and graphics where everyone will be able to try their hand at various techniques.
