MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) - Belarus’ National Art Museum will enrich its Oriental applied art collection with traditional Indian handicrafts, BelTA learned from the museum.
Two exhibits will be donated to the museum’s collection on the initiative of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Pankaj Saxena. The solemn ceremony will take place on 26 July.
The Indian embassy has not yet revealed what the two exhibits will be. However, their size, artistic merit and importance let us say that this donation will help encourage interest and mutual understanding between Belarus and India, the museum noted.
The National Art Museum of Belarus and the Indian embassy have been building fruitful relations for many years. The Indian traditional art is represented in the museum’s permanent exhibition in the Oriental Art hall.
The ceremony will feature Belarusian musicians performing India’s national music. The event will be free.
