MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – Belarus has named its team for the 2019 IBU Summer Biathlon World Championships which is due to take place at the Raubichi Olympic Center in Minsk, Belarus on 21-25 August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Biathlon Federation.
Competing for Belarus will be Iryna Kryuko, Dzinara Alimbekava, Hanna Sola, Iryna Kruchynkina and Alena Kruchynkina, and also Raman Yaliotnau, Anton Smolski, Sergey Bocharnikov, Maksim Varabei, Viktar Kryuko.
The Belarusian junior team will comprise Natallia Karnitskaya, Karyna Anufryienka, Alina Pilchuk, Darya Kudayeva, Arina Yaborova, Anna Musatova, Dzmitry Lazouski, Mikita Labastau, Roman Chepyzhov, Kiryl Tsiuryn, Aliaksandr Matskevich, Ilya Auseyenka, and Stsiapan Danilau.
The training camp for the Belarusian national team in Antholz, Italy is running through 21 August.
The Raubichi Olympic Center has so far hosted three world biathlon championships (1974, 1982, 1990) and the IBU Summer Biathlon World Championships (1999).
