MOSCOW, 22 July (BelTA) – In June Belarus was named the cheapest place to fly for the Russians, reads a study conducted by the portal Tutu.ru, BelTA has learned.
According to the portal, air fares from Russia to Belarus went up by 4% as compared to June 2014. Flights to Moldova, which is the runner-up in the budget destinations ranking, became 12.6% cheaper. Flying from Russia to Ukraine, which placed third in the ranking, is now 32% more expensive than a year ago.
Air travel to Germany, Spain and Montenegro has become much more expensive for Russians. Average tickets to fly to Germany rose by 35%, to Spain by 22%, and Montenegro 26%.
With regard to the preferences of travelers, most often Russians flew to Ukraine, Moldova and Kazakhstan in June 2015. Belarus was the fourth most popular destination. Germany was fifth, followed by Spain and Montenegro. The rest in the top ten are Turkey, Bulgaria and Uzbekistan.
