MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) - Belarus is mulling over a 30-day visa-free entry for Chinese citizens, Belarus’ Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Mikhail Portnoi told the media on 25 September.
“We are considering the introduction of a 30-day visa-free entry for the citizens of China,” noted Mikhail Portnoi.
In his words, the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries are working on the issue. “We would like this matter decided by the end of the year. We are working on it,” the deputy minister stressed.
Mikhail Portnoi also stated that close attention will be paid to the intensification of the Belarusian-Chinese tourism in 2018. “If everything goes well, we will declare 2018 the Year of Tourism of Belarus and China on the sidelines of the 16+1 summit in November. It is planned that the corresponding agreement will be signed at the level of the prime ministers,” said Mikhail Portnoi.
