MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) - The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Office in Belarus will hold a seminar in Minsk on 11-14 September for Belarusian state bodies, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told a press briefing on 6 September, BelTA has learned.

The topic of the seminar is "Interaction with UN mechanisms for the protection of human rights: the role of the national mechanism for the preparation of reports and follow-up activities". Anatoly Glaz drew attention to the fact that this event was initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in accordance with the National Human Rights Action Plan.

The seminar is aimed at strengthening the capacity of Belarusian state bodies to interact with the international human rights system.
