MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Belarusian specialists may take part in mineral exploration projects in Colombia. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov and President of the National Mining Agency of Colombia Silvana Habib, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties reached an agreement on possible participation of Belarusian specialists in mineral exploration in Colombia and cooperation in the supplies of BelAZ haul trucks to Colombia,” the ministry said.
Evgeny Shestakov is on a working visit to Colombia on 12-14 February. The diplomat held meetings with Deputy Minister of National Defense Jose Javier Perez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Patti Londono and also representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the export and investment promotion agency Procolombia, and the National Infrastructure Agency.
The sides talked over the prospects of the Belarusian-Colombian cooperation in various sectors. The parties outlined ways to expand interstate dialogue.
