MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Maria Mamoshuk of Belarus claimed silver at the European Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, BelTA has learned.

On her way to the podium in the -69kg division, the Belarusian defeated Buse Tosun of Turkey (14-8), Norway’s Signe Marie Store (10-0), and Ukraine’s Alla Cherkasova (2-0). Maria Mamoshuk lost the final to Russia’s Anastasia Bratchikova 3-6.

Maria Mamoshuk’s silver is Belarus’ fourth medal at the ongoing championships in Serbia. Earlier, Vanessa Kolodinskaya took the European champion title in the 53kg division, Yekaterina Gonchar-Yanushkevich won the -55kg silver and Alexander Gushtyn collected the 97kg bronze.
