Belarus’ Lidziya Marozava to play at Lyon Open

MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) – Lidziya Marozava of Belarus will take part in the Lyon Open tournament, BelTA has learned.

In the opener Lidziya Marozava and Germany’s Vivian Heisen will take on Russia’s  Alexandra Panova and Olga Danilovic of Serbia. The winner will then play Alicia Barnett of the UK and Georgia’s Natela Dzalamidze in the quartefinal.

The tournament on the hard courts of Lyon will be over on 5 February. Last year Zhang Shuai won the singles event, while the victory in the doubles event was celebrated by Russia’s Vera Zvonareva and Laura Siegemund of Germany.
