MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Belarus has advanced to the tank biathlon finals at the Army Games 2017 in Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
“Belarus was second in the relay, the second stage of the competition on 10 August, and thus advanced to the final. Russia finished in first,” the ministry informed.
The Belarusian tank crew delivered a good performance at the shooting range hitting the “tank” target right in the middle and eliminating the “helicopter” and “grenade launcher” targets at the first attempt.
The final of the most spectacular competition of the Army Games will be held in the Alabino training ground on 12 August.
The Field Kitchen event finished on 9 August. It featured six teams representing Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, Mongolia, Russia and Serbia. Belarusian military cooks took silver.
It was Belarus’ debut in this competition. The Belarusian military cooks and bakers showed a high level of training, excellent skills in cooking a variety of meals in the field and the ability to act autonomously and as part of a team.
