MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Nearly 4,000 servicemen will take part in the Independence Day parade on 3 July in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“About 4,000 servicemen and more than 250 units of military hardware will take part in the parade scheduled for 3 July to mark Independence Day in Belarus. General rehearsals will take place at the intersection of Pobeditelei Avenue and Masherov Avenue in Minsk at 23:00 on 23 and 28 June,” the ministry said.
The forthcoming parade will feature female officers of the Belarusian army and also cadets for the first time.
Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces will traditionally take part in the parade. For the first time the Independence Day military parade will feature servicemen of the People's Liberation Army of China.
