MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) - A museum dedicated to miniature architectural models of Belarusian attractions will open in Minsk on 24 December, BelTA learned from the museum.
The exposition “The Country in Miniature” will include 15 models. Three more will go on display by the end of January next year. In the future the collection will be extended up to 70 exhibits
The museum will feature the mini replicas of famous castles: Nesvizh, Lida, and Kossovo, and also the Zhirovichy Monastery, Trinity Suburb of Minsk, the Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskevichs in Gomel, Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Brest Fortress, etc.
Every model is an exact replica of the attraction and its surroundings. In addition, the model depicts a historical scene. Guests of the museum will have a chance to become active participants in the tours of the exhibition as every exhibit is interactive. The museum has a photo-zone decorated in the national ornaments, a cafe and a lounge area, a gift shop, a children's studio and a lecture area.
