MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ healthcare system is ready for the second wave of COVID-19, Aleksandr Patseev the head of the main department of healthcare organization at the healthcare Ministry, told reporters in Minsk on 5 October, BelTA has learned.
“Recently, we have seen an increase in the incidence of the disease. Now we can say that this is the second wave. We see a similar picture in other countries of Europe and the world,” Aleksandr Patseev said.
According to him, Belarus’ healthcare system is ready for the second wave of COVID-19. "We have tried and tested the entire system, worked outs all algorithms for providing medical assistance. The system has proven to be effective. We have clear separations of patient flows by the severity of the disease. The bed space is enough. The situation with oxygen points has improved considerably over the past few months. The healthcare system as a whole is ready for work,” Aleksandr Patseev noted.
