Minsk tops CIS list of cities for virtual tours

Tour program ‘Loshitsa Estate in the 19th - early 20th centuries’

Loshitsa Estate, one of the most popular sights of Minsk, invites you to go on a musical journey. During the tour of the estate, visitors will not only see the stylized interiors of the estate in which the eminent owners Eustachy Prushinsky, Ivan and Eustachy Lyubansky lived, but also learn about their fates, habits, way of life, and secrets that the walls of the estate keep. Musical program for the tour will feature the polonaise of the diplomat and composer Michal Kleofas Oginski "Farewell to the Motherland", Napoleon Orda’s piece "Serenade", a piece from the collection "Polotsk Notebook", the works of the German Johannes Brahms and Russian composer-philosopher Alexander Scriabin.

Viva Carnival show at Belarusian State Circus

The atmosphere of the legendary festival in Monte Carlo will be recreated in Minsk by artists of one of Europe’s oldest circus dynasties, the Toni dynasty, that is 150 years old! Its artists won five awards at the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, and in January 2023 they were named the winner of the festival with their act featuring golden Bengal and white tigers. The Minsk audience will be able to see this show for the first time at the main circus arena of the country. In addition to that, the Viva Carnival program will include crossbow shooters, trampoline acrobats, jugglers, tightrope walkers, horse riders, and aerialists. Original acts will be presented by Evgeny Komisarenko (Royal Poodle Show), Asel Saralayeva (Trained Cats), Alikhan Alikhanov (Rope Walkers and Tightrope Walkers).

Traditional Belarusian Costume exhibition at the National Art Museum

The Belarusian "anthology of beauty" features about 90 folk costumes of six ethnographic regions of the country. The large-scale exhibition has been first put together at the National Art Museum as part of the annual campaign "September Night". It showcases almost 1,000 exhibits: folk clothes, household utensils, sketches and archival photographs that reflect the vivid regional and local features of the folk costume, both female and male. The exhibition also presents pieces of traditional Belarusian weaving, graphics, Belarusian fine art.

Saint Sophia's Bells festival in Polotsk

The festival of organ music Saint Sophia’s Bells is opening for the 28th season and invites connoisseurs of classical music to attend concerts in the concert hall of Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk. The festival will open with a concert on 22 October by the famous organist, Honored Artist of Belarus Ksenia Pogorelaya and the Europe-Center chamber orchestra under the baton of maestro Rail Sadykov. The program will continue with the Music Collections by soloist Ekaterina Melnikova (Russia), a concert to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Ksenia Pogorelaya's creative work, and the Eternal Beauty concert featuring the ensemble of soloists of the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary. The 2023 festival will wrap up with the November evening "I see you in a thousand images..." by organist Ekaterina Ivanova and vocalist Tatiana Suchkova-Gavriilova.

Belarusian Musical Autumn in Minsk

For the 49th time, Belarusian Musical Autumn will bring together connoisseurs of eternal classics and treat them to the best pieces of the world's musical heritage. The November program will open with the premiere of  “From The Beatles to Queen” by the creative tandem of director Artem Evsievich and the soloist of the Youth Variety Theater Olga Kolesnikova. The program features a kaleidoscope of piano, symphonic and organ evenings, in particular dedicated to the outstanding composers and performers of different eras: Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Ivan Sollertinsky and Dmitri Shostakovich, Isaak and Maksim Dunayevskys, Muslim Magomayev and Anna German...

BEL SUONO Universe: Album presentation in Minsk

International Pianist's Day marked on 8 November will be celebrated with a concert by the BEL SUONO piano trio, a one-of-a-kind ensemble performing in the progressive genre of classical crossover. The ensemble with more than 10 years of creative experience includes Kirill Gushchin, Anton Mosenkov and Nikita Khabin, who will present the new album Universe on the Minsk stage, accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. The concert will feature more than 20 pieces of classical and modern music and new compositions written by the soloists of the trio specifically for this project.

Sergei Aldonin's 'The Master and Margarita' in Minsk

An extended version of the production based on one of the most mystical novels of the 20th century - The Master and Margarita - will be presented by director Sergei Aldonin.  After 50 successful performances at GITIS and at various festivals in Moscow, it has been included in the permanent repertoire of the Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow. This interpretation is unique as it has fragments from the drafts of the novel, which, in the director's opinion, makes it possible to emphasize the main themes that Mikhail Bulgakov had his mind on. Cast: Ekaterina Klimova, Sergei Aldonin, Filipp Bledny, Mikhail Gorsky, Timur Oragvelidze...

ProdExpo international food exhibition

For more than 25 years, ProdExpo international food exhibition has been a showcase event for advanced food industry technologies, new brands, new food products and beverages on the Belarusian food market. Internet Governance Forum Belarus 2023

Internet Governance Forum is the country’s largest open platform where more than 300 delegates discuss development prospects for the internet. The mission of the fifth edition of the forum is to bring together government officials, businesses, non-profit organizations, the engineering and academic communities, as well as internet users to exchange expertise and knowledge, and explore prospects to promote the national segment of the network. In the past years, the forum focused on personal data protection, cybersecurity, e-government, and the Internet of Things, while the sections on reputation management and digital literacy drew a record number of participants.

Gastrofest

Gastrofest is a series of food festivals that has won the hearts of foodies from Belarus and abroad. It brings together people who appreciate delicious food and quality drinks. Each festival has its own theme, but one thing remains the same: participating cafes and restaurants across the country offer sets at a fixed price during a certain period of time.

Rastrelli Cello Quartet in Belarus

Rastrelli Cello Quartet is a cello quartet founded in Germany’s Stuttgart in 2002 by Kirill Kravtsov and Sergei Drabkin. The duo was later joined by students of Kirill Kravtsov - Mikhail Degtyarev and Kirill Timofeyev. Over its more than 20-year history, the quarter that was named after the famous architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli has given more than 900 concerts in 30 countries and participated in numerous festivals around the world. The program of the Minsk evening will be diverse ranging from the favorites Oh, Frost, Frost! and Along Piterskaya to the world music heritage - works by Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Piazzolla, Mancini and melodies from the movies The Pink Panther, Moon River, Breakfast at Tiffany’s arranged by Sergei Drabkin.

Alla Dukhova's TODES Dance Theater in Bobruisk

The show-ballet TODES run by famous choreographer Alla Dukhova returns to Belarus with a new show In The Night. Minsk International Film Festival Listapad

One of the CIS biggest and Belarus’ largest film forums – Minsk International Film Festival Listapad - will bring together famous actors, filmmakers and cinema lovers in Minsk for its new edition. This year the forum will be held under the slogan Building the Future. Apart from the main competition, the program will comprise a section of feature and documentary films, a young cinema competition, and a competition of children's and youth cinema Listapadzik. The Lispatad Film Festival will also present a wide program of out-of-competition and retrospective screenings, meetings, workshops, exhibitions and vernissages.

Bolshoi Theater of Russia in Minsk

The Bolshoi Theater of Russia is bringing its two landmark performances to the main stage of Belarus - the opera The Tsar's Bride and the ballet Ivan the Terrible. The first two evenings will be led by Konstantin Chudovsky, the rest will be held under the baton of Pavel Klinichev. The agreement on the exchange tour was reached in October 2022. Then, the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia hosted the Belarusian company with the national opera King Stakh's Wild Hunt by Vladimir Soltan directed by Anna Motornaya and Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker directed by Valentin Elizariev.

Cinema with Orchestra: Music Project to Mark Leonid Gaidai’s 100th Birthday

Cinema with Orchestra is project to mark the 100th birthday of legendary film director, People's Artist of the USSR Leonid Gaidai. Diamond Arm, Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession, The Prisoner of the Caucasus or Shurik’s New Adventures – these are just a few films that made the filmmaker widely known and are largely quoted by many from different generations. The event will feature well-known films to the music of Aleksandr Zatsepin performed by the National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus named after Mikhail Finberg. Visitors will get an opportunity to see pieces of Gaidai’s well-known films and listen to the best hits Bad Luck Island, Song about Hares, A January Blizzard is Ringing, Help Me, If I were a Sultan, Song about Bears and others sang by Andrei Mironov, Yuri Nikulin, Leonid Kuravlev, Natalia Selezneva.

Theatricalized concert “Trip into Nesvizh’s past”

Guests of the famous Radziwill residence in Nesvizh will go on a musical journey into the past to the accompaniment of the laureate of international competitions - the string quartet of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus Vivat-Quartet. Anita Malyugina (violin), Irina Maslova (violin), Vladimir Kupriyanov (viola), Aleksandr Ivanov (cello) as well as Honored Artist of Belarus Yulia Shcherbakova (piano), an international competition laureate Yelena Shevchik (vocals) and an actor of the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama Maksim Braginets will take the stage. The audience will enjoy works created within the castle walls, learn intriguing details about its owners and composers who served and created in Nesvizh, and will see pictures from the past come to life.

Folk art festival “Song of my land” in Borisov

For the 19th time the folk art festival “Song of my land” will unite both representatives of musical bands and amateur artists from various districts of Minsk Oblast. One of the main goals of the forum is to preserve local heritage and regional centers of folk art. Nevertheless, the requirements the contestants have to meet only grow higher every year. This season they have to present a staged (original, extraordinary) number with the participation of one or more amateur art groups of different genres.

Belarus’ Fairy-Tales: the dance, music and song ensemble Belyye Rosy in Grodno

A colorful vocal and choreographic show based on fairy-tale folklore and ritual traditions of Belarus will be presented on the stage in Grodno by artists from the local dance, music and song ensemble Belyye Rosy. Colorful choreographic and vocal numbers reveal the everyday life of representatives of the Belarusian people, their world outlook, ideals, and values to the modern audience. Expressive animated video content, author’s crossover, special effects and professional performance skills will create bright and unique folklore images that will remind many people of the fairy-tale heroes from their childhood.

Concerts by the Valaam Monastery Choir in cities of Belarus

Created on the occasion of the restoration and consecration of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior on Valaam Island in August 2005, the Valaam Monastery Choir is a performance group that focuses on liturgical singing and concerts. That is why the choir’s repertoire - songs, romantic songs, and spiritual music - is dedicated to the theme of love. The audience will be immersed in the atmosphere of the ancient chants the Valaam Monastery is famous for and will also follow the main life paths of Christ. They will travel through time to the territory of Greece, Serbia, and Argentina. The second part of the program will feature the best works from the choir’s repertoire, which are dedicated to faith in God and love for the Motherland.
