Belarus will celebrate the anniversary of the national cinematography with the national festival Kinovek, which will be held across the country. Throughout the year the festival will present 33 best films from the Belarusfilm studio, which tell the story of the national cinematography development. The festival will feature films of different genres - historical and social films, war and adventure films, and also famous children's films The Adventures of Pinocchio, My Name is Harlequino, War Under the Roofs, Nesterka. The festival opened with a screening of the restored silent film Forest Story (1926) directed by Yuri Tarich and based on Mikhas Charot’s The Swineherd.

The exhibition called as "Worth Its Weight in Gold" invites you to trace the history of sovereign Belarus through commemorative coins: valuable samples produced since 1996 in gold, silver and copper-nickel alloy. The exposition displays the commemorative coins of Belarus’ National Bank celebrating the country’s history and culture, sport, environmental protection and Belarus in the world community. Here you can see a variety of shapes (round, rectangular and oval coins), themes, execution technologies, including holography, oxidation, inserts of precious and non-precious stones, color digital printing. Traditional tools for coin cutting are also on view.

In honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the best Belarusian and Soviet films about the Great Patriotic War made in different years will be shown in cinema houses across the country. The playbill of the commemorative campaign includes Belarusian feature films, 16 documentaries, the best Soviet films by Mosfilm and other film studios. It is expected that the patriotic campaign will hold more than 2,800 film screenings both in cinema houses and other cultural institutions.

The international children's art festival Golden Bee in Klimovichi will bring together hundreds of talents from different regions of Belarus as well as from CIS and non-CIS states. Within the framework of the forum, which traditionally takes place on World Children’s Day, young talents will compete for awards in singing, choreography, graphic arts, and arts and crafts. The festival will cover the whole town: guests will participate in mini performances, look at colorful farmsteads, learn traditional crafts of Belarusians and taste national cuisine dishes.

Ballet Summer 2024 at the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus will be remembered for the performances by the invited companies from St. Petersburg and not only. On the first day, the audiences will see the famous Musaget and My Jerusalem ballets by Boris Eifman performed by students of the dance academy of the famous choreographer. On 4 June, the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theater will present 598 Beats, a brand-new ballet by Vyacheslav Samodurov, Cheeky Chastushki, a ballet in one act, and a cycle of choreographic miniatures Rodin. The playbill on 5 June features several miniatures from the Classicism-Romanticism cycle, The Wedding Cortège show to the music of Dmitry Shostakovich and The Brilliant Divertissement show to the music of Mikhail Glinka.

This will be the 20th edition of the festival since its inception in 2021. This year it will be hosted by only one town. Thus, visitors will have more time to learn about the historical and cultural heritage of the town that has a 590-year history, its folk crafts, local brands and famous natives of this interesting nook of Belarus. The festival will start with the national tourism campaign “Travel! Experience! Get Inspired”. The route “Pearl of Pruzhany District” will be presented. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be running an exposition and presentation in a local park. The program will include an interactive theatrical performance “Judging a gentleman by his boots”, the Vytoki Quiz, an Olympic quest, the “Battle of Cover Songs”, and a gala concert featuring Belarusian pop stars.

This ethnic diversity festival will bring together thousands of people from all over Belarus. This year the festivities will unfold not only in Grodno downtown, but also on the Augustow Canal. The main theme of this year’s festival will be family and family values, or in a broader sense – a family of peoples (35 diasporas) living peacefully with each other in Belarus. Representatives of Argentina, Mongolia, Cameroon, and Egypt will plant trees on the Friendship Alley in Kolozha Park; Nigerians and Pakistanis will add exotic seedlings. In line with an established tradition, the festival will kick off with a flamboyant procession of participants in national costumes, who will march to Sovetskaya Square singing and dancing. There will be 19 national stands that will offer visitors authentic entertainments and, of course, delicious national cuisine.

The ARS MAGNA ORGANI 2024 festival of organ and chamber music titled “The Great Art of the Organ” will play 56 free concerts in the new season. For this purpose, four historical organs will be used - in Pinsk, Medvedichy, Ruzhany and Novogrudok, as well as one electric organ in Ivanovo. Pinsk will offer the most extensive program with 23 solo organ concerts and 6 concerts of chamber orchestras and ensembles. Music will be performed in the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary where the second most historically significant organ in Belarus will be played. Performing skills will be shown by 27 musicians from Belarus, Russia, Austria and Hungary, 3 chamber groups, and participants in master classes that will be held as part of the festival.

The folk music festival, held in Postavy since 1989, will bring together representatives of the CIS member states, including the twin city of Russia's Pushkin and also Latvia's Daugavpils. The program will feature the traditional art festival Box of Folk Talents, the international plein air Picturesque Postavy District, foreign art group performances at the concert venues of the district, the Cradle of Talents and the Land of Dulcimers exhibition, the musical and theatrical performance Postavy Ball, concerts of Belarusian and classical music, a theatrical parade of festival participants and visitors, a town of artisans and a trade show of arts and crafts of Vitebsk Oblast.

The festival celebrating St. Anthony of Padua, the defender of Odelsk, is held on 13 June. The celebrations kick off at noon with the Holy Liturgy in the Church of the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then the festival gathers residents and visitors of the agrotown near the local cultural center for the performances of local amateur art groups and invited artists. The program of the festival will also feature an open-air museum, the one-day exhibition Odelsk Courtyards, traditional dance clinics, Belarusian doll, papercutting and belt weaving master classes. A food court will offer dishes of national cuisine.

The festival celebrating national values, Belarusian music, poetry and language will kick off in Molodechno slightly ahead of the official program. More than 60 events are expected to take place in the city starting from 11 June to showcase the music and literature heritage of Belarus, achievements in professional and amateur art. Every day Central Square, the Central District Library named after Maksim Bogdanovich, and the Palace of Culture will be hosting concert programs featuring art groups of Minsk Oblast, performances, book presentations, plein airs and master classes. The highlights of the festival will be the opening and closing gala concerts on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater and the National Competition of Belarusian Young Pop Performers at the Palace of Culture.

The annual festival of opera and ballet art Evenings of the Bolshoi Theater at Radziwill Castle is one of the brightest events in the country’s theatrical season. The ancient castle on the UNESCO World Heritage List has become the favorite open-air venue and what not for Belarus’ top theater. Artists of ballet, opera, chorus and orchestra leave their home theater walls to give residents and guests of the town of Nesvizh the joy of appreciating masterpieces of world opera and ballet classics.

The festival of authentic art and folklore of Belarus’ Dnieper River region is aimed at promoting and strengthening international cultural ties, popularizing folk art and traditions. It is held under the motto “Festival of Friendship - for peace and harmony without borders”. This year’s program includes concerts and contest performances of on-stage performance groups and individual performers, a parade of festival participants, theatrical performances and mass festivities, musical projects, exhibitions, craftsmen fairs, master classes, creative labs by leading specialists in the art field from Belarus and other countries, a science and practice conference on the development of folk art and much more.

The city of Bobruisk turns 637 this year. The residents will celebrate the city day on 29 June in honor of a milestone event in the history of the 20th century – on 29 June 1944 the city was liberated from Nazi invaders by units of the First Belarusian Front. And it was the Bobruisk offensive operation that had become the first stage of one of the largest strategic offensive operations launched by Soviet troops during the Great Patriotic War – Operation Bagration took place from 23 June through 29 August 1944 to defeat the German Army Group Center and liberate Belarus. In the so-called Bobruisk Cauldron the Red Army mousetrapped several divisions of the Wehrmacht totaling more than 25,000 men and opened the road to Minsk... The 4th military-patriotic convention Bobruisk Cauldron will be held in honor of the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation. Military-patriotic clubs will participate in it. They will be accommodated near the village of Shchatkovo, Bobruisk District. The main event will be a military history reenactment, which will bring together over 500 representatives from Belarus, Russia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Estonia, and Israel.
