Thanks to founder of the collection and president of the Salvador Dali company Beniamino Levi, who worked with the Spanish surrealist in the 1960s, Minsk residents will see an exposition of more than 100 artworks created by Dali. The collection includes sculpture, graphics, jewelry, decorative and applied art.

The exhibition of king of pop art Andy Warhol is on show in Belarus for the first time. The American artist’s series of screenprints “Endangered Species” portrays animals which population is dwindling. Experiments with colors and Andy Warhol’s unusual technique increases people’s awareness of the dangers the animal world is facing.

The Belarusian State Circus is going to mark its 60th birthday with a new show, Marvelous House. The show will feature trampoliners, strongmen, trapeze artists and clowns. The audience will also see bears riding skateboards, horses, coatis and sea lions.

Leningrad Band has already given several sold-out concerts in Minsk before. Frontman Sergei Shnurov loves the Minsk public as much as Minskers love him. “I have not seen such a vibe anywhere else in the world,” Sergei Shnurov describes the atmosphere of his Minsk concerts. After the noisy and perky concert in Minsk Arena on 1 December, Leningrad will get on stage of the country’s biggest concert venue again on 5 April.

A solo concert of the star of the Russian piano school will take place in Minsk on 6 April. On the stage of the Palace of the Republic Denis Matsuev will present a new concert program for the Minskers, who are not indifferent to classic music.

The obstacle race will take place at Stalin’s Line for the second time: the first test of patriots’ endurance took place in February. The event will feature extreme distances for men and women as well as a race for kids. Along the entire route sportsmen will have to deal with unusual obstacles accompanied by “realistic” explosions and shots. Every participant will get a commemorative medal while the best athletes will be awarded in a magnificent ceremony on a tank.

The new program from the Gomel Circus called Illusion and Laughter promises to instill spring mood into the spectators. The New York musicians Benito Gonzales Trio will present a jazz program in Minsk as part of their European tour. The band includes the virtuoso pianist Benito Gonzalez, the contrabass player, composer, and band leader Ark Ovrutski, and the drummer David Hodek, whose skills Belarusians could appreciate during a Myron Walden concert in 2018.

The largest fashion industry event in Belarus will present trends of the autumn-winter 2019/2020 season. After the house was sold out in December 2018, the Georgian ballet Lelo is back with the new program Soul of Georgia. It is a dancing play featuring 22 compositions. The leading dancer Givi Kbilashvili has performed as part of the ensembles Metekhi and Sukhishvili as well as the national royal ballet of Georgia and even the Xinjiang Grand Theater in China.

Easter is one of the key celebrations in the Eastern Orthodox Church. This year’s Easter will be celebrated on 28 April. A spring fair will be arranged in anticipation of that. The 2019 motorcycle season in Belarus will kick off with MotoVeloExpo. The opening of the 2019 water season on the Augustow Canal will be one of the tourist draws of Grodno Oblast. About 200 athletes from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Poland will cover record-long distances on kayaks and catamarans. Visitors will be able to watch the competition, take kayaking lessons, learn how to make a kayak from materials at hand and take part in competitive eating.

Tamara Gverdtsiteli’s talent is highly appreciated in Belarus. In 2017 her name star beautified the festival alley of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. The singer will present in Minsk her new program together with the Presidential Orchestra of Belarus. The concert will feature new songs as well as well-known hits, such as Molitva, Maminy Glaza, Vivat, Korol!

2018 was rich in events for the Russian pop rock band Zveri: two new albums, a tour Ward Buddies, frontman Roma Zverev’s debut in Kirill Serebrennikov’s film Leto, and the Cannes Award for the soundtrack to the film. In Minsk the rock band will present their album 10 and will also sing their well-known hits, including Do Skoroi Vstrechi, Rayony-Kvartaly, Napitki Pokrepche.
