MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – A photo by Aleksandr Pivovarov, a student of the University of Civil Protection of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry, made it into 200 best works at the international award 35AWARDS. The work competed in the category Male Portrait against over 14,000 photos, BelTA learned from official representative of the University of Civil Protection Andrei Sadovsky.
Aleksandr Pivovarov submitted three photos to the competition, one of which made it to top 200. The student wanted to capture emotions of rescuers in his works.
Aleksandr Pivovarov also placed 116th out of 5,825 professional and amateur photographers from 130 countries. The best works will be published in the annual catalogue of the competition.
Aleksandr Pivovarov is a four-year student of the Faculty of Emergency Response of the University of Civil Protection. He makes photos and videos for the university’s online magazine UCP LIVE.
35AWARDS was established in 2015. The first edition of the competition brought together 36,000 people from 110 countries. Participants compete in a wide range of categories: Black and White, Conceptual photo, Female portrait, Male portrait, Children photo, Landscape – daytime, Landscape – night, Urban landscape, Wildlife, Nude 18+, Staged photo, Daily life, Street photo, Macro, Still life, Mobile photography, Fashion & Glamour, Photo project, Aerial photography, Motion, Underwater photography, and Reportage photography.
