MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt (ASRT) have singed a memorandum of understanding. The document was signed at the end of the visit of the NASB delegation led by First Deputy Chairman of the NASB Presidium Sergei Chizhik to Egypt, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarusian and Egyptian scientists held the seminar “New avenues of research and innovative activities in Belarus and Egypt” in Cairo. The sides shared the results of the research in the areas of paramount importance for the both sides, including in the treatment of water with nonorganic porous materials, production of smart fertilizers and biosensors, molecular breeding of animals and plants, manufacture of farm equipment, distant Earth sensing and editing of space photos.
The delegation of Belarusian scientists also visited the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute and the Zewail City of Science and Technology.
