MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarus may participate in the construction of a metro system and a national library in Vietnam, BelTA learned from Ambassador of Vietnam to Belarus Le Anh on 31 August.

According to the source, a memorandum was signed during a recent visit of the delegation of the city of Hanoi to Belarus. In line with the memorandum both sides will continue working on shipping Belarusian automobiles to Vietnam. The Belarusian side will also participate in a tender for the design and construction of a metro system and other civil engineering projects in Vietnam. Apart from that, the Belarusian side may help with the construction of the national library in Hanoi, noted Le Anh. In his words, the participation of Belarusian construction companies in various civil engineering projects in Vietnam was discussed during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko.

The ambassador specified that it is yet unclear exactly what services Belarusian specialists will provide since no tender has been held yet.
