MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The Men’s EHF EURO 2022 qualifiers draw took place in the headquarters of the European Handball Federation in Vienna, Austria, BelTA has learned.
Belarus will face Norway, Latvia, and Italy in Group 6.
The other quarters for the qualifiers:
Group 1 – France, Serbia, Belgium, Greece;
Group 2 – Germany, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia;
Group 3 – Czech Republic, Ukraine, Faroe Islands, Russia;
Group 4 – Iceland, Portugal, Lithuania, Israel;
Group 5 – Slovenia, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey;
Group 7 – Denmark, North Macedonia, Switzerland, Finland;
Group 8 – Sweden, Montenegro, Romania, Kosovo.
The qualifiers will begin on 4 November 2020 and run until 2 May 2021. The winners and runners-up of all eight groups as well as the four best third-place teams will earn a spot at the finals.
The final tournament will take place in Hungary and Slovakia in January 2022. Hungary and Slovakia as the co-hosts, and Spain (champions) and Croatia (runners-up) as the EHF EURO 2020 finalists, are qualified directly for the final tournament.
