MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – The Culture Ministry of Belarus signed seven international agreements on cooperation in 2014, Culture Minister Boris Svetlov told media on 6 February, BelTA has learned.
In September 2014 the government of Belarus signed an agreement with the government of the People’s Republic of China to set up the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental committee on cooperation. Boris Svetlov has been approved as chairman of the Belarusian part of the commission on cultural cooperation.
Last year Belarus held Culture Days and Cinema Days in a number of countries. According to the minister, the Culture Days of Belarus has an extensive program. In his words, the presentation of the country’s culture abroad is of great significance for displaying the Belarusian art worldwide. In 2015 Belarus plans ten such events, including in China.
The minister also stated that the Culture Ministry had received a request from the Ambassador of Ecuador to present the Belarusian culture in the country and consider an opportunity to shoe the culture of Ecuador in Belarus.
