MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Belarus won gold and silver medals at the 2017 European Rowing U23 Championships in Kruszwica, Poland, BelTA has learned.
The women’s double sculls event was won by Belarus’ Kristina Staroselets and Tatyana Klimovich, who covered the distance in 7:34.72. Greece was second, 4.5 seconds behind. Bronze went to Switzreland, 7.04 second back. The Belarusian duo of Kristina Staroselets and Tatyana Klimovich were also victorious at the Plovdiv 2017 Canoe Sprint European & Paracanoe European Championships in July.
Silver was won by the men’s quad sculls: Vladimir Kulik, Yevgeny Zolotoi, Artyom Laputin and Kirill Tikhonovich. The Belarusians finished three seconds behind Poland.
