MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Belarus and China will use the Belarusian State University to set up a joint research center for young scientists, the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The decision was made after the Committee’s First Deputy Chairman Andrei Kosovsky met with Rector of the Zhejiang Shuren University Hu Qing. According to Andrei Kosovsky, there are plans to sign the agreement on setting up a Belarusian-Chinese research center this year. The document will be signed by the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus, the government of China’s Zhejiang Province, the Belarusian State University, and the Zhejiang Shuren University.
There are also plans to set up an incubator for technology transfer together with Heilongjiang Province at premises of the Belarusian National Technical University’s science and technology park Polytechnic in 2018. Prospects of creating it and prospects of joint research labs were discussed as Deputy Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Sergei Shcherbakov met with Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Province Science and Technology Department Wang Shuangmei.
