Belarus, China to mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations with forums

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Belarus and China will host a number of forums to mark the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, Chairman of the Belarus-China Friendship Society Anatoly Tozik told media on 29 April, BelTA has learned.

“We are going to celebrate a big date in the history of the Belarus-China bilateral relations, the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations. We are gearing up to celebrate this date,” Anatoly Tozik noted. Thus, according to him, a number of interesting things will be published. For instance, it will be a collections of major documents signed within the past 25 years, a book of memoirs of the ambassadors. A number of interesting forums will be held as well.

According to Anatoly Tozik, Belarus and China have announced a contest of essays on the Belarusian-Chinese Cooperation. Silk Road and the Industrial Park Great Stone Through My Own Eyes. The works should be written in the Russian, Belarusian and Chinese languages. They should be sent to silkwayessay@gmail.com before 31 December 2016. “The main ideologist of the contest is Naum Galperovich (Chief Director of the International Radio Belarus – BelTA’s note),” Anatoly Tozik said.

For his part, Naum Galperovich stressed that Belteleradiocompany maintains long-standing ties with Chinese counterparts. Belarusian journalists work at the China Radio International. The Belarus Radio broadcasts in Chinese as well.
