MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) - The First Youth Forum of Belarus and China will be held 2019, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union Alexandra Goncharova told BelTA.
Representatives of the BRSM and All-China Youth Federation will meet in Beijing on 20 July to discuss the organization of the first youth forum of the two countries. “We are planning to hold the forum in Belarus next year,” she noted.
The meeting will take place during the third Youth Camp of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The SCO Youth Council will convene for a session to consider a membership application from the Youth Union of Uzbekistan. Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia have an observer status,” said Alexandra Goncharova. She added that the Belarusian youth will use this opportunity to identify new areas of cooperation with the member countries of the SCO Youth Camp.
The SCO Youth Camp will be held in the Chinese city of Qingdao on 15-22 July. Its theme is “New SCO and New Partnership”. The total number of participants is 200 people. The organizers is the All-China Youth Federation.
A cooperation agreement between the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union and the All-China Youth Federation was signed in 2011. It aims to bolster friendly ties, exchange information in the field of youth policy and youth affairs in the two countries, exchange delegations, implement projects, develop the patriotic volunteer movement and youth entrepreneurship.
