MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – The animated film Spring in Autumn directed by Tatiana Kublitskaya (Belarusfilm studio) won the best screenplay award at the 9th Forum for Animation Films in Cairo, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The competition program featured more than 50 films.

The Belarusian animated film “The Tale of an Old Piano. Johann Strauss” directed by Yelena Petkevich also took part in the festival. It was featured in the nomination “Animated series”.

The Belarusian cartoons that participated in the competition program of the festival were acknowledged by the jury and the audience.

The Forum for Animation Films in Cairo featured the works from various countries, including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Egypt, Latvia, Lebanon, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France, Estonia and Japan.
