Belarus’ Augustow Canal invites for Sea Festival on 10 August

GRODNO, 6 August (BelTA) – The Sea Festival will take place at the Augustow Canal on 10 August, BelTA learned from the Grodno District Culture and Information Center.
 
This festival will be one of the most exciting events hosted by the Augustow Canal. The activities will take place on land and on water at the Dombrovka sluice.

The merry makeshift vessel swimming race will be one of the draws of the festival. The jury will assess the design of the vessel and its presentation. Another attraction is a swamp football tournament. Participants play on a special field, which is the size of a mini-football field. The field is filled with mud, which turns this type of football into a spectacular show. Beach volleyball will be included in the program of the festival this year.

Visitors will be offered a broad range of activities and entertainments, including concerts, quizzes, educational events, water guns, a foam party, a maritime library, a poetry battle and literary contests, master classes, a water show and a disco. There will be thematic photo zones and venues for active games. The Museum of the Augustow Canal History will be open for visitors. Tourists will be able to have an excursion along the canal. Paddle boats and a steamboat will also be at the disposal of visitors.
