MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – The exhibition Belarus and Belarusians will tour the countries of Europe and Asia throughout 2016, Director of the National History Museum of Belarus Oleg Ryzhkov told journalists at the opening of the exhibition at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 19 January, BelTA has learned.
Oleg Ryzhkov said that the exhibition will have a busy touring schedule up to the end of 2016. It will travel to different countries of Europe and Asia, including Japan. The organizers expect it to be seen by many people. The exhibition will be displayed not only at embassies but also during important international business and cultural events.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna. She pointed out that in 2016, declared the Year of Culture in Belarus, it will be important to continue strengthening the Belarusian nation and building its statehood and identity, including in the international arena. The touring exhibition will contribute to this.
The project briefly presents the nation’s history and cultural achievements showing Belarusian people as an integral part of the international community.
The exhibition features stands with photos of items and documents accompanied by explanatory texts in Belarusian and English. It is divided into two parts, one devoted to the history of Belarus, the other to its cultural achievements.
