MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – Anastasiya Ivanova of Belarus won the sixth edition of the Orlen Warsaw Marathon on 22 April, BelTA informs.
The Belarusian clocked 2:28.03 to cover the distance of 42.1km. Azmera Abreha of Ethiopia finished second, four seconds behind the winner. Bronze went to Poland’s Izabela Trzaskalska.
Anastasiya Ivanova was the winner of the 2017 Orlen Warsaw Marathon. She claimed the victory in 2:28.43.
According to the Belarusian Athletics Federation, Anastasiya Ivanova had a good start to the season in Valencia, where the Belarusian runner renewed her personal record at the 2018 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships.
Marina Domantsevich of Belarus clocked 2:39.44 to finish ninth in the Vienna City Marathon. Nancy Kiprop of Kenya won the race in 2:24.18.
