MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarusian gymnast Alina Talay became the 100m hurdles winner at the prestigious IAAF World Challenge meeting in Hengelo, Netherlands, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
European indoor champion Alina Talay came within 0.04 of the Belarusian record to win the 100m hurdles in a personal best of 12.70 (1.4m/s). It was the first competition of the season for Alina Talay.
Another Belarusian Svetlana Kudelich finished in 6th in the 3000m (8:46.83) which was also her personal best result. Kenya’s Irene Jelagat finished more than a second ahead of her opponents to win the event.
