MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) - The Belarusian national football team remained 88th in the recently published rankings of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), BelTA has learned.
Over the past two months the Belarusian football players, as the other teams, did play and remained 88th with 1,269 points. Mikhail Markhel’s men will play on 24 March against Honduras, which is 64th in the world’s rankings. Belarus will host Estonia (108th in the world rankings) in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification opener on 27 March and will face Belgium (1st) on 30 March. Qualifying group E will also feature the Czech Republic (42nd) and Wales (18th).
