MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarusian pentathletes Pavel Tikhonov and Kseniya Klimyankova placed second at the UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian duo scored a total of 1,440 points to finish just behind Kazakhstan duo of Vladislav Mishchenko and Yelena Potapenko (1,442 points). Third were representatives of South Korea Seo Changwan and Kim Inju (1,415 points). A total of 20 mixed teams took part in the event.
Thus, the Belarusian athletes won two medals in Sofia. Apart from the medal in the mixed relay, Pavel Polozkov won the individual’s bronze.
