MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – Belarusian swimmers touched in second in the 4x50m mixed medley relay at the 2017 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian quartet of Pavel Sankovich (backstroke), Ilya Shimanovich (breaststroke), Anastasia Shkurdai (butterfly) and Yulia Khitraya (freestyle) clocked 1:37.74. The Netherlands won in 1:37.71. Bronze went to France (1:37.75) that finished ahead of Germany.
Elsewhere, Evgeny Tsurkin of Belarus finished eighth in the men’s 100m butterfly in 50.77. Anastasia Shkurdai touched in seventh in the women’s 50m butterfly in 25.69.
The 2017 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark is taking place from 13 to 17 December.
