MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – Bellesbumprom’s team of tree fellers (Belarus) placed second at the international wood cutting contest Top 10 in Estonia, BelTA learnt from the press service of Bellesbumprom Concern.
“Our team with the total of 4,592 points ranked second, 28 points behind the winner, Team Finland. Estonia was third,” the press service said.
Belarus was represented at the competitions by Anatoly Andron (National Career Development Center for Executives and Specialists of Timber Industry), Viktor Ganchuk (Mogilevdrev) and Alexander Sugako (FanDOK), with Nikolai Pototsky as coach of the team.
The individual overall standings were topped by world champions Vesa Kurki and Jukka Peramaki of Finland. Anatoly Andron showed the best result in the Belarusian team, going only three points behind the silver medalist. Alexander Sugako placed 5th and Viktor Ganchuk – 14th.
Partaking in the competitions were 37 best professional wood cutters from Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Belarus, including six former champions of different years.
The team of Bellesbumprom Concern consists of professionals that often demonstrate high results. “A month ago, in early June, our tree fellers brought silver from the Estonian Open Wood Cutting Championship,” the press service of the company said.
