MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – After eight days of competitions at the Olympic Games in Paris, Belarus is placed 23rd in the unofficial medal count, BelTA has learned.
With three medals under their belt, Belarusian athletes are ahead of athletes from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Spain and many other nations.
On 2 August, Belarusian trampoline gymnasts graced the podium twice – reigning champion Ivan Litvinovich defended his title, while Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya clinched silver in the women’s trampoline final.
Rower Yauheni Zalaty added another silver to the country's medal tally when he finished second in the men's single sculls event.
China currently leads the medal tally, the United States is second, and France is third.
