Azarenka three spots up on WTA rankings

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained third in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Having made the Berlin 2024 quarterfinal the Belarusian goes 3rd with a total of 7,841 points. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka of Belarus rose three notches up to 16th position after the Berlin semifinal. Aliaksandra Sasnovich is seven notches down to 124th. Aliona Falei is 186th and Iryna Shymanovich is 235th.

WTA Top Ten:

1. Iga Swiatek (Poland) - 11,695 points;
2. Coco Gauff (USA) – 8,218;
3. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) – 7,841;
4. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) – 6,026;
5. Jessica Pegula (USA) – 5,025;
6. Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic) – 4,463;
7. Jasmine Paolini (Italy) – 4,068;
8. Qinwen Zheng (China) – 4,055;
9. Maria Sakkari (Greece) – 3,805;
10. Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) – 3,801.

Jannik Sinner of Italy has topped the ATP rankings. Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov goes 260th.
