Azarenka cruises past Giorgi to reach Miami Open third round

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – Victoria Azarenka of Belarus opened her Miami Open 2023 campaign in the second round and eased past Italy’s Camila Giorgi, 6-3, 6-1, in slightly more than an hour, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian will next face Magda Linette of Poland.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus will play Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic in the second round. Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will open against Shelby Rogers of the United States. Ilya Ivashka of Belarus will take on Norway’s world number 4 Casper Ruud in round two.
