MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Victoria Azarenka is fifth in the WTA rankings released on 16 May, BelTA informs.
Last week, Azarenka did not do well at a tournament in Rome losing a second-round match to Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu. However, the Belarusian climbed from sixth to fifth position with 4,341 points.
Serena Williams of the United States tops the WTA standings. Her Rome title became the 70th in her career.
The top ten players, according to the current WTA rankings, are as follows:

2. Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland) – 5,850
3. Angelique Kerber (Germany) – 5,740
4. Gabrine Muguruza (Spain) – 5,196
