MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - In a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel the producer of ice shows, stage director Ilya Averbukh spoke about the upcoming Ice Show in Minsk and commented on the quality of the country's ice rinks.
Ilya Averbukh noted that this time the show will be different from the ones he brought to Belarus. "I believe that we need to separate these stories, because an ice performance is my favorite thing. Indeed, we brought Carmen, which had a resounding success, and a large number of children's New Year's performances," Ilya Averbukh explained.
Speaking about the upcoming event, he noted: "What will take place Chizhovka Arena in Minsk on 30 March is a gala show featuring our favorite top figure skaters, including our Belarusian colleagues. Its main idea is that of love and mutual understanding. Everyone understands the words, because the phrase ‘Together and forever’ is not just a phrase. I produced my first ice project 20 years ago."
"Many of the guys who will take to the ice started this long journey together with me. These are Alexei Yagudin, Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov, Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin, and Roman Kostomarov. He, too, will take to the ice," Ilya Averbukh noted.
"In general, this is a long long road which we have been going, in many ways, together with our Belarusian audiences. Because throughout all these 20 years we have frequently come to Minsk and other cities. We even had a mini-tour of Belarus, so we will be happy to be back," the producer of the ice shows said.
When asked about the Belarusian ice rinks, Ilya Averbukh praised their quality. "As for the ice arenas and the infrastructure of Belarusian skating rinks in general, it is beyond praise. Every facility is in very good condition. The quality of the ice is excellent, the ice arenas are very hospitable and very professional," he said.
