MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Taking part in the Belarusian Open Aerial Skiing Water-Ramp Championships will be about 50 athletes from nine countries, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Freestyle Skiing Federation.
The competitions will take place at the Olympic Freestyle Center on 31 August.
According to the federation, the competitions will feature the Belarusian national and junior teams comprising Olympic champions Alla Tsuper and Hanna Huskova, world champion Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya and world bronze medalist Maxim Gustik.
The athletes who are expected to come to Minsk will include Swiss world champions Carol Bouvard, Noe Roth, and Nicolas Gygax, Australia’s Laura Peel and Danielle Scott, and also professional skiers from Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. Freestyle skiers from Brazil will take part in the competitions for the first time.
The qualifying round will kick off at 11.00 Minsk time. Entry is free.
The competitions are organized by the Sport and Tourism Ministry, the Belarusian Freestyle Skiing Federation, the Belarusian Ski Union, and the Olympic Freestyle Center.
