MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus moved up 31 places in the WTA doubles rankings after her win at the Indian Wells together with Belgium’s Elise Mertens, BelTA has learned.
According to the new set of doubles rankings, the Belarusian climbed from the 65th up to the 34th place with the total of 2,152 points. In the singles rankings Aryna Sabalenka sits in the Top Ten with the total of 3,620 points.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost two positions to go down to the 36th (1,495 points). Victoria Azarenka improved her rating reaching the 46th spot (1,177 points). Vera Lapko goes 64th (886 points). The WTA singles rankings are topped by Naomi Osaka of Japan with 5,991 points.
Leader of the Belarusian men’s national team Ilya Ivashko is currently ranked 110th.
