MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – Second seed Aryna Sabalenka defeated María Camila Osorio Serrano 6-0, 6-3 to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian will take on Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan. In the first round Aryna Sabaenka beat Romanian Monica Niculescu (191) 6-1, 6-4, and then overcame the British Katie Boulter (219) 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
On 3 July Aliaksandra Sasnovich (100) will face Germany’s Angelique Kerber. The Belarusian came out a winner in the match against Serena Williams who had to withdraw due to injury and overcame Nao Hibino (85) in the second round.
Ilya Ivashko (79) will take on Australia’s Jordan Thompson in the round in the gentlemen’s singles after he beat Spaniard Jaume Munar (69) and Jeremy Chardy of France in the second round.
